KANGO’S

FOLDING

UTILITY SAW
Kango’s new folding utility saw is an innovative
twist to the traditional jab saw – a tool whose
versatility is often taken for granted.
This ergonomic handle fits all leading
brands’ six-inch reciprocating-saw blades
and is packed full of features including:

  • A tool-free blade change with the press
of a button, so no loosening or tightening
    required

  • A push-button to quickly open and close
    the blade

  • An anti-slip TPR over-mold to provide
a more secured grip, especially in wet
    conditions

  • An indentation at the bottom of the handle
makes it easier to fold the blade out

  • An aluminium cast design for maximum
    durability and life.
Kango has kitted this new tool with a Kango
    15cm, 8TPI, all-purpose/ripper, thin kerf (FX2),
recipro saw blade made in the USA. It has up
to 50 per cent longer life (compared to other
leading trade recipro saw blades), provides
faster and flexible cuts on wood, metal and
plastic, and is suitable for a wide range of
    applications.

When we tradies think of Bosch we straight
away think of awesome power tools.
But the reality is the German company’s
range of expertise and technology reaches
far beyond power tools and includes
things like mobility solutions, industrial
technology, consumer goods, building and
energy technology.
Back in October last year Bosch
showcased its ‘HAD’ vehicle.
‘HAD’ stands for ‘Highly Automated
Driving’ and this was the fifth car of its
type from Bosch using the Tesla Type-S
as the prototype. Although the model is
based on the features of the Tesla, the
entire interior automatic driving system
has been replaced with Bosch’s own highly
advanced autopilot system with unique
features and greater precision.
The car’s advanced automated systems
are jam-packed with a great number of

sensors, cameras and networking stations
which all align with the GPS and high-
definition maps to give the intelligence of
the car a clear and real-time live feed of
all data.
This particular car was built in Melbourne
and the Victorian government granted
$1.1 million to help research and fund the
project in a bid to help reduce the road
toll. As many as 90 per cent of fatalities on
our roads are caused by human error, and
the hope is the development of automatic
cars will save a lot of lives.
Even though this car is still in the
prototype stages and needs improvements
and modifications, Bosch’s advancements
in the area have further reduced the gap
between concept and reality.
HAD looks like it’s literally just around
the corner.
