Sure, it might seem a little suss that every time an

artist drops a new album, it causes major beef –

hello, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry! – but some fans

have speculated that Jay’s exaggerating his feud

with Kanye to sell records.

“Fake! [Just trying to] generate press!” one fan

commented online, while another blasted, “All

fake drama to try and hype both men and their

albums up... fake and phoney.”

If their feud is all a publicity stunt, it’s working –

’cos Jay’s album went platinum in the US just five

days after its June 30 release!
