THE BEGUILED
This thriller, adapted from
the Thomas Cullinan
novel of the same name,
unfolds at a girls’
boarding school in
Virginia as the American
Civil War rages. When the
school’s sheltered young
women take in an injured
solider (Colin Farrell), his
presence will set off a
chain of events that has
consequences for them
all. Nicole Kidman (above)
also stars. Opens July 13.


A MONSTER CALLS
Moving and imaginative, this film tells the
story of a boy and his mother (Lewis
MacDougall and Felicity Jones, above) as
they try to come to terms with her illness.
His imagination conjures up a monster
nightly whose tales help him deal with his
complicated feelings. Sigourney Weaver
and Liam Neeson also star. Opens July 27.


PARIS CAN WAIT
Anne (Diane Lane, above)
is at a crossroads in her
life, but when an infection
prevents her flying
with her husband (Alec
Baldwin), she finds herself
taking a road trip from
Cannes to Paris with
