It’s hard work, but someone has to do it if giraffes are to survive. First, catch your giraffe!
These animals aren’t docile by any means–akickcanbefatal. Then Julian moves in, helped
by rangers from the Giraffe Conservation Foundation and Uganda Wildlife Authority. They
placate the creature by applying blinkers and a halter, then comes the tricky task of tugging
it onto the float to be transported away to safety. Mission accomplished!
