teacher education. Kellie is a chief investigator on an HEPPP-funded research proj-
ect investigating strategies to improve access to higher education. She teaches in the
areas of middle years education, teaching Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stu-
dents literacy and numeracy.


Bronwen Wade-Leeuwen is lecturer and senior research officer in the Department
of Educational Studies at Macquarie University. She specialises in creative arts edu-
cation, spatial reasoning, drama and visual arts research and teaching. Co-founder
of STEAM Education Australia, she has an international reputation for developing
intercultural workshops connected to professional practice experience for teachers.
Her publications focus on how to foster creativity in teacher education programs
based on ACARA (2014) cross-cultural priorities including sustainability, deepen-
ing relationships with Asia and working collaboratively with Australian Indigenous
cultures. Her ongoing research interests include fostering critical and creative think-
ing skills (CCT), reflective practice and mentoring innovative perspectives in pre-
service teacher education.


Simone  White is the chair of teacher education in the Faculty of Education at
Monash University and the immediate past president of the Australian Teacher
Education Association (ATEA). Simone’s publications, research and teaching are
focused on the key question of how to best prepare teachers and leaders for diverse
communities. Her current research areas focus on teacher education policy and
research, professional experience and building and maintaining university-school/
community partnerships. Through this work, she aims to connect research, policy
and practice in ways that bring school and university teacher educators together and
break down traditional borders between academics, policymakers, communities and
practitioners.


Judy Williams is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Monash University.
She is an experienced primary teacher and teaches in primary undergraduate and
graduate courses in the areas of professional studies and practice, supervising
research projects. She is also course leader for the primary programs in the faculty.
Judy’s research interests include teacher and teacher educator professional learning,
teacher identity, professional experience  – including international professional
experience – and self-study of teacher education practices. This research helps to
inform practitioners and policymakers on the professional learning needs of gradu-
ate and experienced teachers and provides new perspectives on the work of teacher
educators.


Linda-Dianne Willis is director of the master of teaching (primary) program and
lecturer of curriculum studies in the School of Education at the University of
Queensland. Linda possesses breadth and depth of knowledge and experience in
curriculum and pedagogy gained from working in universities and previously in
public and independent schools. Linda’s research interests include initial teacher
education, school-university partnerships, parent engagement, coteaching, civics
