bearingcarrier to housean extrabearingand
spigottedit to the crankcaseand then used
aVilliersenginesprocket on the original
shaft.The reasoningwasthe Burman clutch
had shockabsorbingrubbersinsideit so
shouldtakethe stressesout of the drive
train.Mountingthe engineand gearboxwas
doneusing^3 ⁄ 8 in alloyengineplateswith the
advantagesof beingstiff and light.
Carrying the wheelsat eitherend is
handledby aBSA swingingarmand
modifiedBSA forks. The rear is reasonably
conventionalwith the swingingarmmounted
as normal and the popularBeezerqd type
hub with ascramblessize rim lacedon.
