TO THE LIMIT

DRIVE TIME

THE REAL
DEAL BEHIND
THE WHEEL

The rooftop is the last frontier of vehicular storage. If it won’t t anywhere inside, just jam it on the roof, right?
Well, maybe.
Roof rack and cage design has come a long way in recent years, and they’re at their best when storing bulky
camping equipment, jerry cans, gas bottles and other gear that you might want to keep outside of the cabin. It is,
however, absolutely essential to know and observe your vehicle’s weight limit when loading up.
Roof weight limits are put in place for a reason. If you overload, you’re risking damaging your roof, losing the
gear you have stored up top, causing an accident which could result in injury, and the kicker is that you’ll have
voided your insurance policy by overloading so will likely be held responsible in the event of an accident.

Load your roof correctly. Avoid a world of pain. PAT WILLIAMS
