Spiced apple crisps

Serves 4-6 | Prep 10 mins | Cook 45 mins | Calories 118 (per serving)

6 firm eating apples (leave the peel
on), individually sliced very finely
a fine sprinkle of ground ginger or cinnamon

1 Preheat the oven to 160°C.
2 Sit the apples on a baking sheet lined with baking paper,
leaving space between. Lightly dust with the ground ginger
and put in the oven.
3 Bake for 45 minutes, but keep an eye on them to make sure
they don’t overcolour. They should be pale golden and will
start to curl up around the edges. Remove from the oven
and leave to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then
carefully slide them away with a palette knife. When cool,
store in a sealed container for up to 3 days.
