His new reality series is supposed to be

the nextLaguna Beach, but all of the

drama surroundingSiesta Key’s Alex Kompothecras, 22, seems to be occur-

ring offscreen. First a video surfaced showing a friend of the MTV reality star

allegedly dragging a live blacktip shark behind a boat. Kompothecras says

he’s “horrified” by the incident and was not there. Still, he and his costars have

received death threats. “I couldn’t even go outside to walk my dog,” he says.

Now Florida game officials are investigating another video, which some

claim shows him shooting a hammerhead shark. Kompothecras hasn’t said if

he was involved but admits,“I’ve made my share of bad decisions. All I can say

is that I wouldn’t make those decisions again.”—PATRICK GOMEZ
