From Instagram follower to full-fledged parasite

COMEDYIngrid (Aubrey Plaza) is a

psychotic young woman—a stalker—

who latches on to Taylor (Elizabeth Olsen),

a minor Instragram celebrity/influencer and

master of the art of hashtags, emojis and product endorse-

ment. Ingrid, on the other hand, has trouble deciding wheth-

er her posted response to a comment from Taylor should

be “hahahahaha” or “heh heh.” But Ingrid is cunning, while

Taylor is patronizing and shallow. Friendships have been

based on less. Both actresses are funny and rather touching

as these two very different poseurs. If the movie’s satire were

harsher,West would be aKing of Comedy for millennials.
