Held every Augustas a fund-raiser for the historic Fagan Park precinct in
Glenorie, north west Sydney, this year saw cool and windy conditions for a
small but quality gathering. As usual, the turnout was dominated by about 20
Velocettes, ranging from a 200cc Valiant, an LE, several Thruxtons and Sportsmans
and an Indian Velo, with three Vincents plus a smattering of other makes. These
included an ex-army Ducati Condor 350, a handsome Triumph Thunderbird with
matching Tilbrook sidecar, a Brough Superior Alpine, and a beautifully presented
1928 K7 OHC AJS..
Glistening in the winter sun,
a 1928 K7 overhead camshaft AJS 350.
Military spec Ducati Condor was
on hand to keep the peace.
Brian Dawes brought his MSS Velo from Cowra –
an unusual model with fibreglass-encased crankcases
as was briefly the fashion in the mid-fifties.
Looking very smart, Triumph
Thunderbird with matching
Tilbrook sidecar.
