Australian Street Rodding — November 2017

(Dana P.) #1

This 1935 Ford Tudor belongs to part-time East Coast Race Cars worker, Jed
Stokes. He’s been building the car himself but brings it into the shop when
the more advance jobs need to get done.
Jed has built a few hot rods for himself over the years but often sells them
soon after completion in order to fund his next project. He has just moved to
Canada so the future of this one is unsure at this point
in time.
The Tudor is fitted with a 302 Ford Windsor
with Edelbrock aluminium cylinder heads and a
matching Edelbrock intake manifold and carby. A C4
transmission will relay the power through to a nine
inch coil-over suspended rear end while the front
of the chassis has been fi tted with the independent
assembly from a Jaguar.
The body was in great original condition when Jed
started, so it hasn’t needed much repair work. The
plan is to leave the original patina paint and just drive
it the way it is. That’s a pretty cool deal!
