Australian Street Rodding — November 2017

(Dana P.) #1

The 1934 Ford three window coupe belongs to Victor Hernandez from Sydney and features an original steel body. Craig built the chassis
it’s mounted to and plans to complete the car in a clean traditional hot rod style. It will run a 302 Cleveland, C4 and nine inch rear end.
The motor at the left in this shot is the Clevo that will be used but it’s going to be disguised as a vintage Mercury engine. The triple carb
equipped fl athead was going to go into Craig’s Deuce coupe but is now a spare. The blown 392 Hemi will go into the ’33 coupe below.

Craig’s had this 3.5 inch chopped ’33 fi ve window coupe for about
five years and despite what it looks like in this photo, it is quite
well advanced. The chassis is ready to go it just needs the bodywork
finished. He hopes to have it at the Yamba Rod Run next year.

Above is the custom dash for Craig’s ’33 coupe while below is the
XK Falcon that he’s had since he was 18 years old. It runs a heavily
worked 260 Windsor from a Mustang, C4 and a nine inch on four
bars and coil-overs. It’s also been mini tubbed in the rear.
