Australian Street Rodding — November 2017

(Dana P.) #1

The dragster shown here, “Satan’s Chariot” once hung from the ceiling of So-Cal Speed Shop in
Pomona. It now belongs to Calvin Pollock and is fitted with a 401 Buick Nailhead for cackle duties.
The ’36 Ford three window coupe is another of Craig’s personal projects and may well get fitted with
that spare flathead engine to race at next years Rattletrap. The 1949 Mercury belongs to Craig’s wife,
Donna and has been chopped three and a quarter inches, but not much else has been done as yet.
That’s a H&H flfl athead in the engine bay of Craig’s current hot rod. His genuine all-steel ’32 five window
coupe is one of the nicest examples of the breed in the country and has history as an American hot rod from the 1960s.
