(John Hannent) #1

On the first day of

Christmas my true love

sent to me, a partridge

in a pear tree

3 SCALLOPED
NAPKIN RING
Give your table napkins
a festive twist. Use a paper
punch to make scalloped
circles from glitter card,
then, using the dips in the
scallops as a guide, fold
concertina creases to give

your ‘flower’ dimension.
Make a small hole in the
centre and thread the
hanger of a tassel through
it. Arrange a ribbon
around your napkin, slip
over the tassel hanger and
tie the ribbon to secure
the ‘flower’ in place.

4 WHAT A PAIR!
The partridge may be missing, but
a beautifully embroidered pear
makes a mighty fine ornament
or take-home gift for your
guests. And don’t you love
the gift tag? Make a swag of
them using a tag punch.
Decorate each with fine
glitter sprinkled over
two narrow strips of
double-sided tape
across the bottom. A
letter sticker for each
recipient personalises it.
