  • Leo Tolstoy
    Russian writer who is
    regarded as one of the
    greatest authors of all time

A man can live and

be healthy without

killing animals for

food; therefore,

if he eats meat,

he participates in

taking animal life

merely for the sake

of his appetite.

And to act so is

immoral.

Until we have the courage to

recognize cruelty for what it

is – whether its victim is human

or animal – we cannot expect

things to be much better in this

world. We cannot have peace

among men whose hearts delight

in killing any living creature. By

every act that glorifies or even

tolerate such moronic delight in

killing, we set back the progress

of humanity.

  • Rachel Carson
    American marine biologist, author, and
conservationist whose book Silent Spring and other
writings are credited with advancing the global
    environmental movement.

Kindness in words

creates confidence.

Kindness in

thinking creates

profoundness.

Kindness in giving

creates love.

  • Lao Tzu
    A Chinese Philosopher

Darkness cannot drive out

darkness; only light can do

that. Hate cannot drive out

hate; only love can do that.

  • Martin Luther King Jr.
American Baptist minister and activist who
became the most visible spokesperson and
leader in the Civil Rights Movement.
