VegPlanet — October 2017

(avery) #1

The festival season has arrived, a time for love, food and
celebration! It is also the time for us to think and consider
the less fortunate, our planet and the animals. Diwali and
Christmas are the best time of the year to help the needy
by donating clothes, school supplies and food. We have
the responsibility to make sure we generate as minimal
waste as possible and aim for zero-waste. Other way to
spread love is by sharing vegan food with your colleagues,
neighbours and friends; show them how tasty vegan food
is! Home-made or purchased, there are varieties of cruelty
free options available, including: eggless cakes, dairy-free
halwas, dry fruit ladoos, dark chocolates, etc. All you have
to do is ask!

This issue, we are featuring tons of amazing delicious
recipes that will impress your veg and even your non-veg
guests. From vegan cheese dip, delicate sweets, hot and
warm noodle soup, quiches, ‘veg’ eggnog, raw vegan
recipes and more! Cruelty-free shopping guides, tips on
keeping your companion animal safe and an amazing story
about a beef cattle ranch in Texas that became Sanctuary
and other great articles for you to enjoy!

I would like to announce the winners of the crossword
