THE

Moose
XC1 Body and Base Armor

Since I’m a new rider who is just learning, I find myself crashing in ways I never
thought possible. Moose XC1 Body Armor is light and flexible and is a great
piece to wear because it helps protect you just like a normal outside protec-
tor would, but you hardly even notice it. The upper-body armor features level
1 back, chest, elbow, and shoulder armor, and a full-length YKK zipper makes
it easy to put on and take off. The XC1 Base Armor Pant is flexible and features
padding throughout the front thigh, hip, and tailbone. If you’re going to crash—like
I’ve been doing a lot—make sure you’re wearing the proper protection. Kyle Wallenberg

Acerbis
Tri-Fit Handguards

When you’re riding in tight confines, the
slightest mistake can cause you to clip a
tree and break a knuckle, hand, or finger.
Protect yourself and grab some hand-
guards. The new Tri-Fit handguard from
Acerbis is a perfect fit for almost any ap-
plication. This multifunctional handguard
allows three different configurations:
Closed Wrap, MX Open, and ATV. I used
the MX Open configuration on our TTR 230 for basic knuckle and
lever protection, but the more hardcore off-road rider would prefer the
Closed Wrap configuration. Mounting was quite easy, and it definitely
worked without breaking on the crash test. Scott Wallenberg

For folks who really get out in the
mud and grime in the off-road world,
blown fork seals are pretty standard.
Seals can only handle so much wa-
ter and dirt in them before they start
leaking. Fork Buddys are an easy
solution to keep your fork seals
and sliders protected and working
perfectly. You pull the forks out of
the clamps and slide the guards
on, zip-tying them in place once they cover the sliders.
After that, you can bomb through the muck without fear of
having to replace another fork seal. David Pingree
