The Regular models have leading link forks, higher ground clearance and 19in wheels. They

come in a wide range of colours and models are differentiated by the accessories fi tted to

them. The ‘Ranger’ is more off-road orientated; the ‘Tourist’ is aimed for adventure travel

with a passenger.

have probably clocked up more orbits of the Earth than any other single-cylinder

stylish all-rounder that could perform well in almost any environment. The XTZ660 Ténéré is

designed to offer a new generation of adventure-seeking riders the opportunity to explore a

new world of possibilities, true to the original ‘go anywhere’ design philosophy.

The XTZ1200 inherits the spirit of the legendary Ténéré models that drove an era of

Yamaha dominance during the 1980s and ’90s in the Dakar Rally, widely known as

the world’s most demanding endurance rally. The XT1200ZE Super Ténéré is packed

with advanced rider assistance technology for the highest levels of engine and chassis

control. Uprated engine characteristics have been achieved by making a number of

changes to the engine, including the use of enlarged intake and exhaust ports, as well

as revised camshaft and piston ring designs, together with the use of a new exhaust

system. These refi nements result in a smoother and better engine character, and also

provide an extra 2bhp.
