T

he Melbourne-based Camira Fabrics
team is kicking goals this year and
unveiled a comprehensively updated
range of bus & coach seating fabrics
at the Australasia Bus & Coach Expo on the
Gold Coast last month.
“Since the acquisition of Holdsworth now
some 10 years ago, the Camira designers have
certainly revitalised moquette (pile fabric)
that had begun to look a little tired and dated.
Teamed up with the recently released ‘Fusion’
wool moquette range, the new ‘Aura Twist’
range will certainly give operators a reason to
consider moquette as their choice for bus and
coach interiors.”
Camira’s product diversity and capabilities
are further demonstrated with the recently
released ¿ at woven ‘Vision’ range of
fabric, with several coaches at the expo
demonstrating the versatility and effects of
the fabric.
If the teams’ recent trip to head of¾ ce and
manufacturing plant in West Yorkshire is
anything to go by, they will continue to bring
fresh designs into the Australasian market
and are determined to give seat and coach
manufacturers and operators more choice
when it comes to the look and feel of their
interiors.
“Both myself and area business manager
Joe Qi made the long journey for the
second annual international sales meeting.
The meetings involve reviewing new and
development products, as well as corporate
responsibility and sales training.
Recent addition Joe Qi has been an
integral part of the Australian business
since joining about two years ago. Already
experienced in the bus and coach industry,
he has hit the ground running after teaming
up with Rodney. His ¿ uency in Mandarin is
assisting develop supply chains by dealing
with manufacturers suppling not only into
Australasia, but also for other projects in the
world, where the ever-expanding Chinese bus
and rail manufacturers seek high-speci¾ cation
fabrics.
“Also worth mentioning is that we have
also seen quite a lot of growth in the NZ
market, with a few large projects with metro
buses using Camira, which is due to the hard
work from our representatives Reid and
Twiname,” Rodney reveals.
It has been a good year in 2017 for Camira
Fabrics and the continual introduction of fresh
ranges of public transport seating fabrics is
helping the Australian team stay well ahead of
the game.

Our new wool rich moquette ‘Aura Twist’ collection
is now available for Bus & Coach seating: with
minimal lead-time, Defender anti-stain treatment
and fully tested.
