Next Row: Cast off 7 (8, 8, 9, 9) sts
pattern to end.
Dec. 1 st. at neck edge on every
alternate row until 35 (37, 39, 41,
44) sts remain.
Continue without further shaping until
work measures 10 (11.5, 12, 12.5,
12.5) cm, from the commencement of
sleeve shaping, ending at side edge.
Shape Shoulder and top of Sleeve
Cast off these 35 (37, 39, 41, 44)
sts.
BUTTON BAND
Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 7 sts
and work in garter st. (every row K.)
for 12 (14.5, 16.5, 17, 18.5) cm.
Mark position for 1 st button. Continue
in garter st.
Mark position for 3 more buttons,
evenly spaced (the last in centre of
neck band).
Work until band when slightly
stretched reaches beg of neck
shaping. Leave sts on a holder.BUTTONHOLE BAND
Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 7 sts
and work in garter st. (every row K.)
for 12 (14.5, 16.5, 17, 18.5) cm.
Buttonhole Row: K3, yfwd, K2tog, K2.
Continue in garter st making 2 more
buttonholes to correspond with
positions marked on button band.
Continue in garter st until band when
slightly stretched reaches beg of neck
shaping. Leave sts on a holder.NECKBAND
Using top sewing, join shoulder and top
of sleeve seams. With right side of work
facing and using 3.25mm needles, K7
sts from buttonhole band holder pick upand K17 (18, 19, 20, 20) sts up right
side of neck, K across the 22 (24, 26,
28, 28) sts at centre, pick up and K17
(18, 19, 20, 20) sts down left side of
neck K7 sts. from button band holder.
70 (74, 78, 82, 82) sts.
K8 rows making buttonhole on the 4th
row as before.
Cast off, or cast off using picot
option as follows:- cast off 2 sts. * sl
remaining st on right hand needle to
left hand needle cast on 2 sts then
cast off 5 sts rept from * to end.SLEEVE EDGINGS
With RS of work facing and using
3.25mm needles, pick up and K44
(48, 52, 54, 54) sts evenly along
edge.
K8 rows. Cast off.TWO-COLOURED

Using 3.25mm needles and Main
colour cast on 68 (74, 80, 86, 92)
sts and Knit 19 rows.
Change to 4.00mm needles and
pattern.
