from to end, slip st into top of 2 ch.
84 sts.
Row 10: As 6th row.
Row 11: 2 ch, 1 htr into same st, 1
htr into each of next 13 sts, 2 htr
into next st, 1 htr into each of next 13
sts, rept from * to end, slip st into top
of 2 ch. 90 sts.
Work in stripes as follows:-
Row 12: As 6th row, but pull through
ss at end of row with A, turn.
Row 13: Using A, 2 ch, 1 htr into
first sp made where htr groups meet,

• miss 2 sts, 2 htr into next sp, rept
  from * to last 2 sts, miss 2 sts, slip st
  into top of 2 ch, pull through with B,
  turn.
  Row 14: Using B, as 13th row, pull
  thread through with M at end of row,
  turn.
  Row 15: Using M, as 13th row, pull
  through with A at end of row, turn.
  Rept the 13th, 14th and 15th rows
  once, then 13th row once more,
  change to M at end of last row, turn.
  Row 20: Using M, 1 ch, 1 dc into
  each st to end, slip st into first ch.

Shape Brim
Next Row: Using M, 2 ch, 1 htr into
same st, 1 htr into each of next 4 sts,

• 2 htr into next st, 1 htr into each of
  next 4 sts, rept from * to end, slip st
  into top of 2 ch. 108 sts
  Rept 6th row once, turn
  at end of row.
  Working all in M, rept
  13th row 3 times.
  Rept the 13th, 14th
  and 15th rows once,
  then 13th row once
  more.
  Patt 3 rows.
  Rept the 20th row twice,
  then 6th row once.
  Work 9 more rows in pat
  then 2 rows dc. Fasten o
  Fold brim to wrong side
  or alternatively wear as a
  Beanie hat.
