GETTING STARTED
A circular needle is used to
accommodate the large number of
sts. Do not join to work in rounds, but
work backwards and forwards in rows.
To keep outer edges neat, when
starting new balls of yarn, join on the
right side of the strip for the left-hand
band and on the left side of the strip
for the right-hand band.

WORKING PATTERN
CENTRE PANEL
Using 20.00mm circular needle and
2 strands of C tog, cast on 82 sts
loosely.
Work 5 rows garter st (every row knit,
first row is wrong side).
Change to 2 strands M. Work 6 rows
St st, beg with a knit row.
Change to 2 strands C. Work 4 rows
garter st.
Rep last 10 rows twice.
Change to 2 strands M. Work in St st
until throw measures 174cm from beg,
ending with a purl row.
Change to 2 strands C. Work 4 rows
garter st.
Cast off very loosely.

SIDE BAND (MAKE 2)
Using 20.00mm circular needle and 2
strands of C tog, cast on 4 sts loosely.
Work in garter st (first row is wrong
side) until band measures same as
side edge of Centre Panel slightly
stretched. Cast off.

MAKING UP
Do not press. Using a flat seam,
join side bands to each side of the
centre panel, placing new ball ends
on the seam edge.
Sew in ends.
