Next Row: WS – purl 1 row.
Next Row: RS – knit to last st, M1L,

Next Row: WS – purl
Rep last 2 rows for 14 more times.
85(87, 89, 91, 93, 95) sts
Work even in st st until piece measures
49.5(55.5, 59.5, 65, 70, 75) cm
from beg, ending with a WS row.
Next Row: RS – knit to last 3 sts,
k2tog, k1. (1 st dec)
Next Row: WS – purl
Rep last 2 rows for 14 more times.
70(72, 74, 76, 78, 80) sts
Cast off all sts loosely.
FRONT
With 1 strand of each thread held tog,
cast on 70(72, 74, 76, 78, 80) sts.
Next Row: WS – beg stocking st work
even until piece measures 12.5(17.7,
20.3, 22.8, 25.5) cm from beg,
ending with a WS row.
Eyelet Section
Row 1: RS – K1, (yo, k2tog) 6 times,
knit to end.
Row 2 – 4: work even in stocking st
Row 5: K1, (yo, k2tog) 12 times, knit
to end.
Row 6 – 8: work even in stocking st
Row 9: K1, (yo, k2tog) 18 times, knit
to end.
Row 10 – 12: work even in stocking st
Row 13: K1, (yo, k2tog) 24 times,
knit to end.
Row 14 – 16: work even in stocking st
Row 17: K1, (yo, k2tog) 30 times,
knit to end.
Row 18 – 20: work even in stocking st
Row 21: K1, (yo, k2tog) 34(35, 36,
36, 36, 36) times, knit to end.
After completing row 21, beg working
rows in descending order beg with
row 20 until row 1 has been worked
again.
Note: Row 21 is worked only once.
WS change to stocking st work even
for 12.5(17.7, 20.3, 22.8, 25.5) cm
ending with a WS row. Cast off all sts
loosely.MAKING UP
Block pieces to measurements.
Sew side seams leaving 20.3(21.5,
23, 24.5, 25.5, 26.5) opening for
armholes
Sew shoulder seams 12(14, 15.5, 18,
19.5, 21.5) cm in from each edge.BACK PLEAT
At this point you will notice that the
back neck has more fabric than the
front edge. Find centre of back neck;
fold excess fabric on either side
toward centre to form an inverted
pleat. Secure pleat in place.COWL NECK
With RS facing and circular needle pick
up and knit 91(96, 100, 105, 109,
114) Sts evenly around neck, making
sure to go through all 3 layers of
fabric along back pleat. Place marker
and join for working in the round. Work
even in stocking st for 20.5cm. Cast
