GETTING STARTED

A circular needle may be used to hold

the large number of stitches, working

in rows not rounds.

2 x 2 rib pattern

(Multiple of 4 plus 2)

Row 1: K2, *P2, K2; rep from * to

end.

Row 2: P2, *K2, P2; rep from * to

end.

These 2 rows set patt for rib.

WORKING PATTERN

BACK, FRONT & SLEEVES

Using 4.00mm needles, cast on 82

(82, 90, 90) sts. Work in 2 x 2 rib

patt throughout.

Work 2 rows straight.

Shape sleeve

Next Row: RS – (inc) Keeping patt

correct, inc 1 st at each end of this

row and foll alt rows, 10 times. 104

(104, 112, 112) sts).

Work 3 rows straight (26 rows).

Begin bodice

Next Row: RS – (inc) Cast on 53

sts at beg next 2 rows (to keep patt

correct, beg first row with K2, beg

second row with P2) (210 (210,

218, 218) sts, 28 rows).

Work 17 (19, 21, 23) rows straight.

Divide for neck hole

Next Row: WS – Work 105 (105,

109, 109) sts, turn, leave rem 105

(105, 109, 109) sts on holder.

Work 78 (84, 90, 96) rows; place

these sts on second holder. Now

pick up sts on first st holder and

beg with a WS row, work 80(86,

92, 98) rows. Work across sts on

second holder (210 (210, 218,

218) sts).

Work 17 (19, 21, 23) rows straight.

Finish Bodice

Next Row: RS – (dec) Cast off in rib

53 sts at beg of next 2 rows (104

Work 2 rows straight.

Shape Sleeve

MAKING UP

Fold garment in half. Using edge

to edge stitch, join sleeve seams.
