WORKING PATTERN
BACK
With 4.00mm needles, cast on 100
(106, 112, 118, 124, 130) sts.
Row 1: RS – K0 (0, 1, 0, 0, 0), p1
(0, 2, 2, 1, 0); k2, p2; rep from ,
end row with k2, p1 (0, 2, 2, 1, 0),
k0 (0, 1, 0, 0, 0).
Row 2: K the knit sts and p the purl
sts.
Rep last 2 rows 3 times more.


Beg Main Rib Pattern
Row 1: RS – K3 (0, 2, 0, 1, 0); p3
(2, 3, 1, 3, 0); (k4, p3) 12 (14, 14,
16, 16, 18) times; k4, p3 (2, 3, 1, 3,
0), k3 (0, 2, 0, 1, 0).
Row 2: K the knit sts and p the purl
sts (= work sts as they face you).
Rep last 2 rows for Main Rib patt for
back until work measure 38.5 (39.5,
40, 40, 40, 40)cm from beg, end with
a WS row.


Shape Armholes
Keeping patt correct, cast off 4 (5, 5,
6, 6, 7) sts beg next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st each end next 4 (4, 5, 5, 6,
6) rows.
Dec 1 st each end every RS row 4 (4,
4, 4, 4, 5) times. 76 (80, 84, 88, 92,
94) sts.
Cont straight in patt until work
measures 55.5 (56.5, 58, 58, 59,
59)cm from beg, end with a WS row.

Shape Neck and Shoulders
Next Row: RS – Patt 29 (31, 32, 34,
35, 36) sts, turn, on these sts only.
Next Row: Cast off 5 sts, patt to end.
Next Row: Cast off 10 (11, 11, 12,
13, 13) sts patt to end.
Next Row: Cast off 5 sts, patt to end.
Cast off rem 9 (10, 11, 12, 12, 13)
sts.
Return to rem sts, slip centre 18 (18,
20, 20, 22, 22) sts to holder, rejoin
yarn, work 2nd half to match first,
reversing shapings.

Cable insert:
With 4.00mm needles, cast on 18 sts.
Row 1: RS – K2; *p2, k2; rep from *
to end.
Row 2: K the knit sts and p the purl sts.
Rep last 2 rows 5 times more.
Leave on hold on spare needle.

Work as for Back from ** to **.

8) times; place marker (beg of centre

Row 2: K the knit sts and p the purl
sts.
Rep last 2 rows once more.

Note: It is important to keep track of
rows worked as front will be worked
in sections.
Next Row: RS – Right section: Patt to
first marker, do not turn, patt over the
18 insert sts from spare needle, turn;
on these sts only, leaving rem sts on
spare needle for Left section.
Patt over these Right section 59 (62,
65, 68, 71, 74) sts for 31 more rows
(end with a WS row). Break yarn and
leave sts on hold.
(**)With RSF, return to sts on hold for
Left section and patt for 32 rows (end
with a WS row), break yarn at end.
Next Row: RS – Right section: Patt 41
(44, 47, 50, 53, 56) sts, do not turn,
slip next 18 sts to holder and leave at
front of work, patt next 18 sts from
Left section, turn, on these sts only,
leaving rem sts on spare needle for
Left section.
Patt over these Right section 59 (62,
65, 68, 71, 74) sts for 32 rows (end
with a RS row). Break yarn and leave
sts on hold.
With RSF, return to the 18 sts on
holder, rejoin yarn and patt across
these 18 sts, do not turn, patt across
sts on hold for Left section.
Patt for 32 rows (end with a WS row),
break yarn at end.
With RSF, return to Right Section sts,
patt across 41 (44, 47, 50, 53, 56)
sts, do not turn, slip next 18 sts to
holder and leave at front of work, patt
next 18 sts from Left section, turn,
on these sts only, leaving rem sts on
spare needle for Left section.
Patt over these Right section 59 (62,
65, 68, 71, 74) sts for 32 rows (end
with a RS row). Break yarn and leave
