next RS row, then dec 1 st at neck
edge next 8 rows, then every other
row twice. 54 (57, 61, 64, 68) sts.
Patt straight until front measures same
as back to shoulder, end with a RS row.
Cast off loosely.
FRONT BAND EDGE (MAKE 2)
With 3.75mm needles, cast on 128
(140, 146, 152, 158) sts.
Row 1: RS – K1; k2tog, p2, skp; rep
from to last st, k1 – 86 (94, 98,
102, 106) sts.
Row 2: WS – Purl all sts.
Leave these sts on spare needle.
BUTTONBAND
With 3.75mm needles and RS facing,
beg at left front neck edge, pick up
and k86 (94, 98, 102, 106) sts
down straight front edge.
Next Row: WS – Purl all sts.
Next Row: RS – With RS facing
hold front band edge sts in front of
left front needle, k first st of front
band edge together with first st
of buttonband; k 2nd st of front
band edge together with 2nd st of
