Sew back seam and attach flower.


FLOWER
Inner rosette: leaving a 30cm tail of
yarn at the beginning cast on 60sts
using 4.50mm needles.
Knit in stocking stitch for 6 rows. Cast
off. Do not press.
Outer rosette: leaving a 30cm tail at
the beginning cast on 80 sts using


4.50mm needles. Knit in stocking
stitch for 8 rows. Cast off. Do not
press.

MAKING UP
Both rosettes the same.
Thread wool needle with tail of yarn
and gather up cast on edge tightly
arranging work into a rosette shape.
Fasten off.

Sit inner rosette on top of outer
rosette and join together at centre with
a few stitches. Attach centre of flower
to beanie at top of rib pattern.

GETTING STARTED
Diagonal lace pattern
Row 1: RS - K2, *YO, K2 tog, K3 from



  • to end of row.
    Row 2: alternate rows: WS – Purl.
    Row 3: K 3, YO, K 2 tog, K3 from
    to end.
    Row 5: K 4, YO, K2 tog, K3 from
    to end.
    Row 7: K5, YO, K2 tog, K3 from to
    end.
    Row 9: K6 YO, K2 tog, K3 from to
    end.


WORKING PATTERN
Cast on 60 sts. Knit 5 rows.
Next Row: *Pattern - begin diagonal
lace pattern and work for 10 cm,
ending on a RS row.
Knit 5 rows. *
Work from
to ** three more times.
Cast off.


MAKING UP
Darn in ends. Join short ends


together to form a circle. Decorate
the seam with beads or buttons if
you wish.
