FIT TIPS

STRENGTH WITH CARDIO
When Karlie Kloss hits the gym for
an hour each day, she works ‘really,
really, really hard’, says her trainer
Anna Kaiser, who stresses the
importance of strength training
to coincide with cardio. Between
a cardio session and a cool-down,
Anna has Karlie, 25, complete
a strength circuit comprising
jackknives, overhead shoulder
presses using 4kg weights, push-
ups off a box or step, and donkey
kicks – all for 30 seconds each,
repeated four times. ‘She pushes
through,’ Anna reveals.

ARM
WORK
‘Work smarter,
not longer’ is the
mantra Britney
Spears’ trainer
Tony Martinez lives
by. So to mix up the
500 to 1000 sit-ups
she does each day
(yikes!), Tony has the
35-year-old pump out
mountain climbers
and leg balances with
medicine ball slams

  • not to mention
    adding dumbbells
    into her routine.
    So that’s how she
    maintains those
    rock-hard abs
    super-toned arms
    and firm glutes!

SHE
SQUATS
Squatting on a Bosu
ball as Khloé does will
tone the thighs and lift
the butt, says Don.
‘Use your heel to go
down onto the
ball.’

DAILY

‘I do at least 20 minutes
of exercise a day. I like
yoga, Pilates, swimming,
[and] resistance training.
If I have a shoot,
I target specific
areas.’

EARLY
START
‘I wake up at 5.30am,
put my gear on and have
a warm glass of water
with lemon... at 6am at the
gym, I do Pilates, boxing
or go for a run
or walk.’

YOGA
LOVER
‘I like to do several yoga
classes, mixed in with
weight training sessions...
Staying healthy has just
always been a part
of my life.’

DIET
CONSCIOUS
‘[I’m] strict with starting
my day with a workout,
meditating and getting
fresh air. Eating healthy
is so important, I can’t
afford to get
sick.’

K aty Perry, 32
