ALL THE MIND-BLOWING DEETS ON THE NEW SEASON RIG
s
been cranked up

We spent most of season one of Netflix’s hit
’80s series Stranger Things wondering if Will
Byers (13-year-old Noah Schnapp) was gone
for good – hell, he even got a funeral – but he
eventually made his way back from creepy
alternate dimension the Upside Down, and
spewing up monster babies no less. It’s safe
to say he’s not OK. Executive producer Shawn
Levy says in season two Will is ‘very much at
the centre of several intersecting challenges
and threats’. Sadly, that means there’s no relief
for his poor mum Joyce (Winona Ryder).
WILL:
DOES HE DIE?
‘He’s a lot more punchy, and kind of
teenager-y... kind of emo,’ explains Finn
Wolfhard, 14, on how his character, leader
of the pack Mike Wheeler, will stand
up when the show returns. But really,
what did we expect after he watched
his girlfriend Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown,
13) die last season? Thankfully, Finn isn’t
nearly as much of a Debbie downer IRL,
according to co-star Gaten Matarazzo.
‘You can really count on him to laugh
during a take; we love that about Finn.’
MIKE:
AN EDGY NEW LOOK!
Gaten Matarazzo’s equally witty and
adorable Dustin Henderson quickly
became a fan fave in season one and
viewers can expect him to be responsible
for some epic ‘aww’ moments this time
around, too, especially since he’s scored
himself a wicked new pet. While the
exact details on the new addition are
top secret, Gaten, 15, did share some
inside info. ‘It’s a little creature I get to
bond with. It’s obviously not from this
planet or this dimension,’ he reveals.
DUSTIN:

Expect to see some
‘next-level crazy stuff’
in the nine new
episodes of Stranger
Things, says executive
