glamorous look.
Black never seems to go away and
is still a firm favourite for the colder
months – whether you choose ‘all
black’ or a ‘black’ and a ‘bright’ it
still remains a fashion preference.
Red is another colour that is often
linked to cooler months and not
necessarily Christmastime. Red is
flirtatious and attention grabbing.
Beware though, red isn’t flattering
for everyone and can be a fashion
faux pas as it highlights skin
imperfections.

Acrylic –is a synthetic fibre often
used as a substitute for wool. It
was first launched commercially
in 1947 but not produced in any
great volume until the 1950s.
Acrylic is a strong, warm fabric
and drapes well. It is used to
make sweaters and tracksuits
and is also made into linings
for boots, gloves, jackets and
slippers. Common trade names
for acrylic are Acrilan and Orlon.

Self-striping yarn –Self-striping
yarn is a type of variegated yarn,
which has two or more colors.
Often there are long lengths
of each color before the color
changes to the next. When you
