GETTING STARTED
When pattern specifies ‘turn’ – proceed
as follows to avoid holes in work. Take
yarn under needle and onto other side
of work, slip next st onto right-hand
needle, take yarn under needle and back
to original position, slip st back onto left-
hand needle, then turn and proceed as
instructed in pattern.

WORKING PATTERN
SCARF
Using 5.00mm needles, cast on
52 sts.

Beg 1st Section
** Row 1:RS – K3, * P2, K2, rep
from * to last st, K1.
Row 2: P3, * K2, P2, rep from * to
last 3 sts, turn.
Row 3 and foll alt: Rib to end.
Row 4: Rib to last 5 sts, turn.
Row 6: Rib to last 7 sts, turn.
Row 8: Rib to last 9 sts, turn.
Row 10: Rib to last 11 sts, turn.
Row 12: Rib to last 13 sts, turn.
Cont in this manner working 2 less sts
(as before) until the row ‘P3, turn’, has
been worked.
Next Row: K3.

Beg 2nd Section
Working across all sts
Row 1: WS – P3, * K2, P2, rep from
* to last st, P1.
Row 2: K3, * P2, K2, rep from
* to last 3 sts, turn.
Row 3 and foll alt: Rib to end.
Row 4: Rib to last 5 sts, turn.
Row 6: Rib to last 7 sts, turn.
Row 8: Rib to last 9 sts, turn.
Row 10: Rib to last 11 sts, turn.
Row 12: Rib to last 13 sts, turn.
Cont in this manner working 2 less sts
(as before) until the row ‘K3, turn,’
has been worked.

Rep from ** to ** until Scarf measures
approx 170cm from beg, ending with
