GETTING STARTED
Circular needle is used to accommodate large number
of stitches, do not join work back and forth.


Short row wrap and turn (w&t)
Step 1: wyib (wyif) sl next st purlwise
Step 2: move yarn between the needles to the front
(back)
Step 3: sl the same st back to LH needle turn work,
one st is wrapped
Step 4: when working the wrapped st, insert RH
needle under the wrap and work it tog with the
corresponding st on needle (PUK/PUP)


WORKING PATTERN
SHAWLETTE
Cast on 248 Sts.
Purl 2 rows.


Begin Vertical Eyelet chart
Set up row: WS – P2, K1, P2, rep from to end.
Next Row: RS – work 6 sts rep of vertical eyelet
chart 41 times across work to end of chart.
Cont to work chart in this manner until row 4 is
complete.
Rep rows 1-4 vertical eyelet chart twice more.
Knit 2 rows.


Begin short row pattern and Horizontal Eyelet
chart
Working short rows as foll, rep rows 1-10 of
horizontal eyelet chart 3 times, then rep rows 1-6
once more.
Row 1: RS – K129, w&t.
Row 2: WS – P10, w&t.
Row 3: work to wrap, PUK, K4, w&t.
Row 4: work to wrap, PUP, P4, w&t.
Rep short rows 3 and 4 for 8 times more.
Next Row: RS - knit to wrap, PUK,
K7, w&t.
Next Row: Purl to wrap, PUP, P7, w&t.
Rep last 2 rows 4 times more.
Next Row: RS – Knit to wrap, PUK, K9, w&t.
Next Row: purl to wrap, PUP, P9, w&t.
Rep last 2 rows twice more.
Knit 2 rows across all sts.
Cast off loosely.
