26 BOWLS INTERNATIONAL November 2017
TOURNAMENT BOWLS ENGLAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
CLUB TWO FOURS (sponsored by Dales Sports)
THE powerful Kings club from
Torquay in Devon retained the
Club Two Fours title with a 39-31
win in the final against the Poplar
club from Middlesex.
With England stars Sam Tolchard
and Jamie Chestney at the helm,
they were comprehensive winners
in the previous rounds against
Chatham (Kent) 51-20 and the
Avenue Coventry club (Warwicks)
57-38. Poplar, though, proved
a tough nut to crack in the final
following narrow wins against
Romford (Es-sex) 36-32 and Heaton
Hall (Lancs) 42-38.
