POTIONS
There are at least two uncraftable
potions that may be available in the
creative inventory, depending on the
edition you’re playing. The Potion of
Decay is a Bedrock Edition exclusive
that applies the harmful decay effect,
while the Potion of Luck is only in the
Legacy Console and Java Editions, and
improves your likelihoodof fi nding
rare loot in ch ests you discover when
its effects are active.
And that should be all you needto
know about potions. Have fun!

LINGERING

POTIONS

Adding dragon’s brea th to a splashpotion
creates a lingering potion, which can be
thrown and will persist on the ground.
Dragon’s brea th can only be obtained
from one place: th e enderdrag on. When
the drag on shoots an acid ball, the
resulting attack remains in a pool on the
groundfor a few seconds. Use an empty
glass bottle on the pu rple particles to
collect some of this drag on’s brea th, then
simply defeat the enderdrag on so you
can return to the Overworld with your
bottle intact!
Once you’ve done that, br ewing a
lingering potion is easy. Place a splash
potion in the bottom of your brewing
stand andthe drag on’s brea th bottle
in the top, along with blaze powder in
the fuel slot. The splashpotion will be
converted into a lingering potion.
When thrown, lingering potions
remain in a pool on the groundfor a
few seconds, like drag on’s brea th does,
allowing them to affect mu ltiple mobs
and players over a longer period of ti me
than splashpotions alon e.
If a potion has a limited duration, the
effects of a lingering potion will last for
half as long as a normal potion would.
If the potion has instant effects, a
lingering potion is half as powerful as the
drinkable version.
