UPDATED COMBAT GUIDE

TRIDENTS

Useful both in and outof water, tridents are
a spear-like weapon that can be thrown or
wielded as amelee weapon, making them
good for close-up and ranged combat!

OBTAINING A TRIDENT
Tridents aren ’t craftable, and don’t appear
as loot or treasure. The only way to obtain
one is by collecting it from a drowned! Not
all drowned carry tridents as their weapon,
but of those that do aroundone in 12 will
drop the trident they’re ho lding when you kill
them. If you can’t see the drowned holding a
trident, that means they don’t have one!

USING A TRIDENT
Tridents can be swung like a swor d, or thrown
by charging them, similar to a bow. Unlike
most ranged weapons, they don’t slow down
in water, making them perfect for spearing
fi sh or clearing outdrowned. Tridents have
251 durabi lity and lose one point when they
hit a mobor are thrown. Once you throw one,
you can collect it again, so make sure you
don’t throw it anywhere that you can’t reach!
For a melee attack, the standardtrident
does nine points of damage (as mu ch as a
diamondswor d), andif th rown it does eight
damage. The amount of ti me you chargea
thrown trident for doesn’t affect the damage
it deals, only the distance it tr avels. Tridents
don’t do critical hit damage.

enchantments from an enchanting table:
