DESERT TEMPLES

Desert temples appearin desert

biomes and can be easily seen from

far away, although they may be

partially buried in sand, which can

disguise them and make getting

inside diffi cult! Each one hides

four treasure chests, but also an

explosive trap, which WILL kill you

if you don’t take care.

All of the chests can contain

valuabl e loot, including enchanted

books, saddles, golden apples,

ingots, emeralds, diamonds,

diamond horse armour, and

enchanted golden apples. Mostof

these things are quite rare, so it’s

usually worth the risk!

BEATING A DESERT

TEMPLE

To help you take ho me the

treasures within a desert temple,

here’s our step-by-step guide to

getting in and outalive!

■Desert temples are built on top

of a large, deeppit that contains

four treasure chests and nine blocks

of TNT! The pit is found underneath

the block of blue terracotta at the

centre of each temple, andthe

pressure pad that sets off the TNT

is di rectly below it!

■To get down safely, you mu st

dig your way to the bottom. Start

at the temple door way, face the

blue clay block andbegin to dig a

stairway

down until

you break

into the

main pit.

■Quickly

place some

torches to light

the pit. This will

stop monsters

spawning and

setting off

the trap.

■Make your

way to the

bottom, carefully.

Empty the chests,

avoiding the pr essure

plate. You can break

it witha pickaxe to

neutralise it!

■When the chests

are empty, make

your way backto the

surface. Simple!
