BEACHAREA
There’s plenty to enjoy on a natural
beach, but that doesn’t mean you
shouldn’ttry to make it a little
more fun for your holiday pa rk’s
guests. After all, aren ’t there plenty
of natural beaches around anyway?
This one’s a special beach, designed
specifically for the relaxation and
enjoyment of your holidaymaker s.
To start with, clear and fl atten the
ground –maybe even expandthe beach
a little. Now lay down some towels. Each
towel only has to be a coupleof carpet tiles,
and you should use a variety of colours.
Don’t lay them down too evenly – stagger
where they’re placed, otherwise it wi ll look a
bit TOO artifi cial. Rememberto make them
face the water!
You may or may notbe aware that
beaches use fl ags to indicate where it’s safe
to enter the water. Minecraft doesn’t quite
have fl ags, butwe’ve hu ng green ba nners
at either endof our relaxation areaso that
people visi ting can see where the safe area
is. They’re just four bannersin green, hungfrom a tall fe ncepost, with a matching
carpet tile on top. Simple!
Beach huts for changing into your bathing
suit are also a must. We’ve bu ilt three very
small, simple huts using br ight colours, but
you may wish to use just wood or another
material. The space inside is tiny – enough
for one pers on – butthat’s all you ne ed!
Finally, addsome showers for when
people are done in the water. It’s hard to
make a working shower area, butyou can
make one that LOOKS pr etty good by
placing tripwire hooks (which look a bit like
shower heads) with bu ttons beneath them,
and ashallow pool of water at the ba se
(using waterlogged slabs).Make a shower
