A swimming pool for people to relax
and exercise in is found at most
holiday pa rks (especially in places
where the weather is always nice, like
your temperate biome). It doesn’t have
to be huge, but we recommend pu tting one
nice and close to the ac tion. In our case, the
chalets now look out directly onto the ar ea
where the pool is.
The pool itself is a pit two blocks deep.
We’ve lined it, as we often do for water-based
builds, with pr ismarine tiles, which gives it
a great oc ean-like feel. Lighting keeps the
pool safe at night (so no -one can ac cidentally
fall in) andgives it a cool glow, which is why
we’ve embedded sea lanterns in the fl oor.
You can putthem in the walls if you like!
Getting in and outof the pool might be a
little tricky at this point, so a free -standingblock with a ladderdipping into the water
ensures people can always get outif th ey
want to. Safety fi rst, after all!
Filling the pool with water is fairly simple- just add water sour ce blocks close to
each other, and the algorithm that creates
runn ing water will do the rest. Aim to have
a completely still pool of water that’s two
blocks deepacross its whole length.
The fi nishin g touch is, of course , the diving
board. Again, a ladderhelps you get to
the top of the pillar so you can jump, bu t
white marble slabs look the most like a
sprin gboard. Of course , it won’t ACTUALLY
sprin g, but it looks like it could!
The pool and
diving board
