Diabetic Living Australia – May-June 2019

(やまだぃちぅ) #1
Researchers at the University of Sydney
found people who have diabetes have a
35 per cent higher risk of experiencing lower
back pain, and a 24 per cent higher risk of neck
pain, compared with those people without
diabetes. The findings, recently published in
scientific journal PLOS ONE, suggest diabetes
and pain in these areas seem to be connected
and warrant further investigation.
