Up on the Digital Divide
Artist Daniel Eskridge

grew up in north Georgia,
where he still lives with
his wife and three child-
ren. Classically trained in
drawing, painting, sculp-
ture and photography,
Eskridge holds degrees
in both art and computer
science from the Univer-
sity of Georgia. For years
he delved primarily into
oil and acrylics, but when
his youngest son was
born, Eskridge decided to
forgo the hazardous paint
chemicals for digital. Now
he employs a 3-D render-
ing technique and creates
in genres from paleoart to
wildlife and the American
West. The resulting works
are a fascinating blend of
New World techniques and
Old World subject matter.
His pieces evoke a spirit
of adventure and fris-
son moments achieved
through dynamic realism.
