H Models Decals

S

ome more sheets from the
Czech Republic including
another sheet for the Airix
Walrus as well as 2 sets that
are a bit unusual for an aircraft
magazine. The World famous Jeep
utility vehicle served around the
world and H models have supplied
a selection of marking for Jeeps
from the Royal Air Force and
these make a perfect addition
to your next aircraft diorama.
The full-colour instructions
describe the colours needed
for the camoulage, while
four-view drawings show the
decal placement. All of the
sheets include some of the
black and white photographs
used in the sheets’ creation.

CONCLUSION
Another nice selection of decals
and I have already purchased a
Hasegawa 1/48 Jeep to put them
on but what option do I pick.
Our thanks to Gustav Hybner
of H Model Decals for supplying
us with the review sheets,
which can be purchased from
Hannants or the manufacturer

Begemot

A

nother of Begemot’s
amazingly detailed
decal sheet release
this time covering the
Hunchbacked Mig-29. This
version of the Mig-29 is
currently used exclusively
by the Russian Air Force.
And they currently carry
a very attractive splinter
scheme. However the type
did serve briely with the
Algerian Air Force but they
were not happy with the
type and returned them
to Russia to replace them
with the Sukhoi Su-30MK
and one of these Algerian
aircraft is also included
to add a bit of variation.
As usual the Monochrome
instruction sheet is the
deinition of the word
comprehensive though
it is important to read
the instructions for the
option you are making
carefully as many small
diferences are called out.

MiG-29SMT 9, 19P, serial number
2960737230m, belonged to the
Aviation Group of the Russian VKS
in Syria, Khmeimin airbase, Summer
2017.

CONCLUSION
The SMT version of the
Mig-29 is probably the least
successful of the family but it
still carries some interesting
schemes and has seen service
over Syria as covered by the
last option on the sheet.
In the UK, the range is
available from Hannants
and I thank Begemot
for supplying us with
the review sample.
