about any meal on the


road, and they last the


distance, too.


SPICY BBQ RIB RUB


This spicy rub can be kept in the cabinet
and pulled out for seasoning and marinating
your BBQ ribs, steaks or roasts, slow cooked
in the oven or on the BBQ.

TOTAL TIME: 5 minutes
MAKES: Enough to coat two racks of ribs
or about 3kg-4kg of steak.

Ingredients



  • ½cupsweetpaprika

  • 2 tbspdarkbrownsugar

  • 3 tbspcrackedpepper

  • 1 tbspchillipowder

  • 2 tspmustardseeds(groundina mortar
    andpestle)

  • 2 tspcelerysalt

  • 2 tspgarlicpowder

  • 1 tspseasalt

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper


Method
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Rub
generously into ribs, steak or roasts, drizzle
with olive oil and refrigerate for at least four
hours and up to 48 hours.
Store the rub in an airtight container for
up to six months.
