What could be construed as riding during a

Canadian winter is in reality riding past roadside

banks of sand in New Mexico’s White Sands

National Monument. In addition to experiencing

the state’s great roads, the author found plenty of

things to see and do, such as checking out parts of

Route 66, visiting the International UFO Museum

and Research Center in Roswell and stopping in

at Maggie’s Diner in Madrid, the last of which was

made famous in the movie Wild Hogs.

2019 HUSQVARNA SVARTPILEN 701

Unless you’ve been hiding in a cave these past few

years, you know that KTM bought Husqvarna in 2013.

That collaboration has produced a number of KTM-based

street bikes, including the 2019 Svartpilen 701. The name

may be hard to pronounce, but Husky’s new street single

sure is a blast to ride. Read about it in our next issue.
