WHAT IS IT...
Healthy café in
Barsha Heights
WHY GO...
For the tasty, veggie-
friendly dishes
SOMETIMES IT CAN be tricky
persuading the kids to eat
healthily, but at Brambles you’ll
have no issues in getting them to
wolf down their food.
Salads, pizza, frittatas, French
toast, moussaka and even vegan
tacos adorn the main menu,
while chicken, broccoli and
Parmesan pasta, chicken
teriyaki and peanut butter,
strawberry and banana
toast are on the newly-
introduced kids’ version.
Brambles is the perfect
place to visit for a lazy
long breakfast (available
all day) or a chilled-out
relaxed lunch. It’s located
in a hotel lobby but it’s
tucked away just enough to feel
calm and relaxing.
Pastel pink walls and Insta-
worthy cushions give this
restaurant a laid-back yet cool,
family-friendly feel.
Everything we sample is super-
fresh and tasty. The vegan tacos
are a must-try – packed full of
roasted sweet potato and crunchy
red cabbage while the sweet
potato and kale frittata is another
hit, served with sriracha yoghurt
and a small rocket salad.
For those wanting a lighter bite,
go for the delicious cacao açai
bowl for a healthy sweet treat.
With vibrant, tasty dishes and a
great kids’ menu, Brambles could
become your go-to lunch spot.

IT’S RARE TO find a restaurant
like LOWE – one which blends
creative cuisine with an extensive
menu that is sure to keep all the
family happy.
Everything about this new
contemporary dining spot is
absolutely bang on, and you
should get to KOA Canvas right
now to experience it yourself.
Every single thing we order
is steeped in originality and
inventiveness, with adventurous
flavour combinations and creative
presentation that doesn’t stray
too far from the restaurant’s
warm and homely vibe.
The dishes here are shared
between the table, and even
younger eaters will love unique
options such as the pressed
cucumbers in a delightful smokey
labneh or the whipped aubergine
in crunchy ancient grains.
And that’s just the starters.
The main courses bring more
joy, with a ricotta agnolotti
paired with braised capretto and
chard leaves as well as enough
Parmesan cheese to fill a deli
counter. The broken wheat salad
with crispy duck leg is enormous,
and the blood orange
segments add a
deliciously sweet twist.
But the highlight has
to be the interesting
chocolate and
sunchoke dessert
that comes with
coffee grind caramel
and honeycrunch.
It’s a total fusion of
flavours and textures,
all carefully stacked in
a dark brown bowl of
deliciousness.
Although there’s no dedicated
children’s menu, the main version
is relatively kid-friendly, with a
molten cheese Vegemite toastie
and buckwheat waffles among
the best dishes for youngsters to
get their little hands on.
However, the cheery staff are
happy to make modifications and
substitutions for fussier eaters
- even going to the trouble of
offering to prepare special off-
menu dishes for smaller diners.
For a family meal that
combines inventiveness with
stellar service, head for LOWE –
all the family will love it.
