The opposite to the
Dodge tool, this lets
you darken areas by painting
over them. Use a low
exposure then build up your
strokes. In general, we use
the Burn tool set to midtones
or shadows, and the Dodge
tool set to midtones or
highlights. Hold Alt to
temporarily switch between
the Dodge and Burn tools.

TOP TIP
When setting the exposure for the Burn tool, press 1
to quickly set 10%, 2 for 20% and so on.
