Like the other tools,
this behaves in a
freehand way – you drag it
around your image to make
a selection – but this one
will seek out edge details
as you drag. Many users will
instinctively prefer more
easy-to-use tools like the
Quick Selection tool, but
the Magnetic Wand still has
its uses, especially if you
master a couple of keyboard
shortcuts that will transform
its efectiveness – watch the

If the tool sets down a bad anchor point, press Backspace to delete it and try again,
or press Backspace several times to remove more points.
