dress maker, tacked and trimmed it
into place.
Great debate ensued about the
interior and whether to go for fixed
or take-out units and whether
Graham’s brother Allan, a joiner by
trade, should build them. In the end,
the Gunn’s purchased units from
Vanwurks, which were despatched
in sections and assembled by
Graham with help from Allan. The
decision proved to be the right one,
the van is self-contained with the
cooker and everything inside, which
makes living with the Bus a practical
proposition even in inclement
weather.
The floor was lined with underlay
and then 8ml ply, both fitted by
Allan Gunn Joinery, before the units
went in. Similarly, Dynamat lined
every panel to ensure a reduction
in noise levels. Madmatz provided
both the cab carpet and the blackAll in the detail...
