METHOD
1 Lay a few pieces of silver mesh on thick cardboard
135mm square then cover them with adhesive foil
tape in a haphazard patchwork design.
2 Make indentations in a few areas using an eyelet
setting tool. Dab VersaMark ink in a few places,
then emboss them with verdigris powder.
3 Lightly brush black paint over the whole panel
then wipe it back with a cloth, leaving paint
around the edges and in all the grooves.
4 Layer it on cream card 140mm square and folded
red card 150mm x 300mm on an angle as shown.
5 Attach a Darkroom Door photobooth hats image
on thick cardboard 65mm x 55mm, set two
bronze eyelets on either side at the bottom, then
thread wire through them in a crossover pattern
and add it to the centre of the card.
6 Cut 10 assorted banners out of patterned paper,
glue them along the top of the card, add alphabet
letters to spell ‘Dad’, then glue on holographic
stars and red rhinestones.
7 Add two bows of ribbons and a small key charm at
the bottom.
