MATERIALS
METHOD
1 Secure a 140mm x 80mm panel of
white card to your work surface with
washi or repositionable tape.
4 While the paste is wet, sprinkle
holographic embossing powder over
it, gently shake off the surplus, then
allow the paste to dry.
2 Place mini fi sh scales template over
the top and temporarily tape this in
place too – if it still moves, add more
tape to the sides.
5 Use a heat tool to melt the embossing
powder, then layer it on your card.
3 Use a palette knife to
apply white texture
paste over the panel
then lift the stencil away.
time-saver
Keep a bowl of water next to
your work surface to place the
stencil in immediately after
use – it can then easily be
washed at a later time.
Get a similar effect by
sprinkling plain glitter over
the wet paste and skipping
the heating step.
TIP
What we like
You can easily change the colours of
this panel by mixing texture paste
with acrylic paint or using a
different glitter embossing powder.
